CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRIES

  AT WATERSPRINGS CHURCH

Weekend Ministries

"We will not hide these truths from our children; and we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord about His power and His mighty wonders" (Psalm 78:4).

This is our purpose in the children's ministry at Watersprings Church. We are here out of love for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, our love to serve Him, and our love for all God's children. It is our goal to teach the children-by word and example-about God's unfailing love. To equip the next generation to be righteous, live the Good News and go out into the world to proclaim God's Word to further His Kingdom.

We follow along with The Great Adventure, three years through the Bible, so the kids are studying the same passages they are reading together as a family during the week. Children will experience the joy of learning about Bible stories, prayer and loving one another.

Family Devotion Time!

Our Children's Ministry is also participating in “The Great Adventure”– a 3-year thru-the–Bible reading program for the entire Watersprings Church. We highly recommend that you read the chapters together as a family! To help with your family devotion time, we have provided some discussion questions, and a few background notes.

Nursery – 5th Grade

Safety: Parents will register their children with our secure KidCheck system at the children’s ministry desk. This is to ensure that we have any pertinent information about your child, contact information for parents & guardians, and a secure system to make sure they are going home with the right people! All of our children’s ministry volunteers and staff have been screened with a State and Federal Background check.

Paging: If at any time during the service, your child needs you, we will put the 4 digit code that is found both on your child's nametape and your guardian receipt onto the large screens in the sanctuary.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up: On Weekends, Grades 1 – 5 will be dropped off in the Fellowship Hall where they will begin with Children’s Church. Parents and guardians will pick them up at the end of the service in their classrooms in the Children’s ministry Wing. Infants through Kindergarten will begin and end in their classrooms. On Wednesdays, during the school year, we have our Awana program. For Awana, all Kindergartners through 5th graders will be dropped off and picked up in the Fellowship Hall. Younger children will be picked up in the Children’s Ministry classrooms.

Curriculum: On weekends, the children are also participating in the “Great Adventure” reading program, and the children’s lesson will be taken form the reading from that week. (See “During Service/Sermon” for more information)

Family Room: If at any time, you would like to stay with your children, we have a “Family Room” located at the South East end of the Sanctuary, where families can watch and listen to the sermon together, without the fear of disturbing people in the sanctuary.

Thrive

Grades 6 - 12:
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11). Junior high is where teens start developing the character that will carry them through the rest of their lives. Our desire for junior high students is to ground them in Christ, giving them an anchor as they begin their journey through the teen years. Check out our services for in-depth Bible studies and fun fellowship with other teens:
