COVID-19 Update

  FROM WATERSPRINGS

Thursday November 17th, 2020

Hello again Watersprings Church Family!

Here we go again…again! We have moved back into modified Stage Two of Governor Little’s Rebound Idaho plan. Please keep praying for our church family and community during this current season of uncertainty. Bonneville County is getting close to a critical number of local COVID cases and local hospital capacity could be a concern in the future. What does all of this mean for us as a church family? First and foremost, remain flexible. We are not barred, in any way, from worshiping together on campus or online during this Stage for now. However, we all need to take personal responsibility for our wellbeing, for our own family’s health, and the safety and health of others we worship alongside. In short, love one another, and wash your hands! (John 13:24-35). I am hoping this season ends soon, as are most of you, and that we will have a future without restrictions. My daily prayer has been, “Maranatha, LORD Jesus!”

We need each other now more than ever. So, with that in mind, stay in fellowship with your church family - in person and online! I understand many of you have never left and have been with us online and in person on campus. Bad habits are easy to start and hard to break, especially during a time like this. We will continue to meet ON CAMPUS and ONLINE for all of our regular service times. We are looking forward to worshiping with you and yours because we are one family, no matter where we are, or what is happening around us. Stay connected to each other by phone, email, text, messaging, or perhaps go on a prayer walk with someone and encourage them this week. Pray for our fellowship, community, and country.

Please continue to diligently pray for church leaders everywhere as things change from day to day. For most, this is like shooting at a moving target with a blindfold on. To that end, virtually every adjustment we have made has actually furthered the Gospel and allowed us to reach people who may have otherwise been missed or overlooked. Not only do our ON CAMPUS meetings continue, but our ONLINE ministry has grown exponentially. Whether ON CAMPUS or ONLINE, we look forward each week to the multiple opportunities to worship together as family and bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world!

With regard to the sensitive issue regarding face coverings and physical distancing in our area - please visit the local EIPH (East Idaho Public Health) website by clicking here. You can also view the updated Stage Two plan for places of worship from Governor Little’s office by clicking here. It would seem prudent at this time for me to remind us that anything we can do to help is wise and loving. Give people some room, have and use a mask when you need to, stay home if you are sick, and wash your hands often with soap and warm water.

When it comes to personal responsibility, we invite you to come to church as you are comfortable. And to show love and respect for others in how they are comfortable. One of the things we need to remember in all of this is to keep looking forward, love Jesus passionately, and love one another practically. “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:9–10).

Remember, washing your hands often is an ongoing practice of loving your neighbors and their families. If you are not comfortable in a face covering, that’s your choice, and it’s also someone else’s choice to wear one. So please love and be considerate of one another during this time.

However, if you or your kids are sick, love your brothers and sisters by staying home and participating with us ONLINE. Email your prayer requests to us so that we can be lifting you up in prayer: prayer@watersprings.net, or call us anytime at 208-524-4747. We are here for you, so please be there for one another.

We are sending out our Watersprings Weekly letters each week to keep everyone current on the ministry and changes that may come up from time to time. So, if you are not receiving our weekly updates to your email and would like to, please fill out a connect card or update your information with the church office by clicking here.

Keep loving God, loving each other, loving our community, and don’t let the opportunity pass by to love today.

Love up. Love in. Love out. Love now.

You are loved.
You are family.
