Meet Kathryn King
Head of School
Servant-leader, teacher and student loving, camping enthusiast who loves being a grandma.
I was born in sunny Southern California. As a “PK” (preacher’s kid) I moved a lot growing up (Tennessee, Florida, back to California and now Idaho). I received my Bachelor of Arts in Educational Leadership from Calvary Chapel University. I was blessed to be raised in a Christian home my entire life, so I knew early on who Jesus was. I first decided to make a public proclamation to serve Jesus at the age of nine when I was baptized in a Florida swimming pool. Unfortunately, I walked away from the Lord during my teen years; however, Jesus mercifully pursued me. After my rebellious teen years, I decided to rededicate my life to Jesus and completely surrender to Him in 1992 when I was baptized in the Pacific Ocean. My husband and I have been married for almost 30 years; we have two incredible sons, two lovely daughters-in-law, and three beautiful granddaughters that are my absolute joy! I have had the privilege of serving at Watersprings since 2004. I have been blessed to teach in various teaching areas: Special Education for two years, 2nd grade for nine years, 4th grade for one year, and high school Bible. I currently love serving Jesus as the Assistant School Superintendent of Watersprings School where I am able to love on the kiddos, staff and parents.
