Meet Ruth Syverson
Saved by grace, dedicated mother and wife, faithful servant who loves spending time with family and friends around a campfire.
I was born in Idaho Falls and have lived here my whole life. I have been married to the love of my life Jeff for 34 years. I am a mother of two wonderful children, Dustin and Kaitlyn. I have basically raised two “only” children as Dustin is 29 and Kaitlyn is 14.
I began my career as an Administrative Assistant. I then took a break for a while to raise my children. In 2012 I started working at Watersprings Church of Idaho Falls as a Custodian for the church and school. I feel blessed to work in an environment where reading the Bible and Prayer is acceptable and encouraged. I love to serve the students who attend Watersprings School as well as the parents who attend Watersprings Church.
For a period of about 15 years I struggled with drug addiction, and this was a dark time in my life. After years of trying to quit under my own power and failing, I finally came to the end of myself in 2010 and committed my life to Jesus. He immediately broke the chains of addiction and I have been clean for ten years.
In my free time I enjoy caring for my flowers and gardening. Another passion is spending time with my children. Both children have raced go-carts on dirt tracks and I enjoy encouraging them in this hobby. I also enjoy camping in the mountains next to a stream and fellowship by a campfire with family and friends.
